.
CORRECTION OF YOUR ALIGNMENT
To solve a problem, you first have to determine the cause. Most postural deviations occur because muscles that work to maintain a joint in place are unbalanced. Generally speaking, one muscle group will be too strong and the opposing group too weak or weak.
For example, those with shoulders bent too far forward, often have tight pectoral muscles that pull shoulders forward and they rotate in toward the midline of the body. Pectorals tightened with weak back muscles and having an imbalance that pulls the scapular waist away from its ideal position. When imbalances like these occur, active muscles atone for hypoactive muscles, that causes tension, fatigue, and discomfort.
The easiest and most effective way to correct imbalances is to stretch the hyperactive muscles and strengthen the muscles of low activity.
FOOT ASSESSMENT
If you have not been paying attention to your posture, it is probably a fact that you have no idea how misaligned your body could be. If you are not sure if your posture is good or if you need a little work, you have this foot evaluation first:
Wear tight clothing so you can see your alignment. Stand barefoot, firm but comfortable, without trying to force yourself into what you believe to be the perfect posture. To get an honest assessment, close your eyes and slowly march forward several times. This will allow your feet to walk naturally. Stop and stay still. Have a friend or partner take a full body photo of the front, sides and back.
