7 WAYS TO AVOID DIABETES
Apart from the topic of genetic transmission of diabetes (every day more doubted), it is proven that food control is the best method to fight the onset of diabetes or to delay it completely
1. Eat healthy and wisely. Eating smaller portions is a great way to lose weight. You can make it look more like a smaller plate. Avoid snacking while you're cooking. Eat breakfast daily, and make your meals regularly and at the same time whenever you can.
2. Limit your meat to poultry and fish. Listen to music instead of watching TV while you are eating. If you are watching TV you are not aware of how much you are eating and you end up eating more than you need
3. Eliminate desserts and refined sugars. If you eat out, a good salad will first appease your appetite. The second dish share it with your dinner partner, or ask to be wrapped to take it. Avoid all fried or roasted products with lots of fat.
4. Choose the dishes, stews , steaks and stews. This avoids the use of oils or butter
5. Drink a large glass of water before eating. Wait 10 minutes, the feeling of hunger will decrease a lot
6. If you are eating at a fast food restaurant, choose healthier foods, such as grilled chicken, salads and fruits.
7. Increase exercise. Next to diet, exercise is vital especially for diabetics. Try to walk daily or swim at your local club. Walking is a pleasant way to talk to your friends and a way to break the work strain. If possible, avoid the elevator and take the stairs whenever you can.
